Suraj Arshanapally, MPH is a dedicated storyteller and health communicator, leveraging the power of narrative to drive social and cultural change. He is particularly passionate about storytelling that promotes cultural diversity and healthy masculinity. He founded The Multicultural Man, a platform dedicated to celebrating these stories. His endeavors have been featured in Interfaith America Magazine and The Interfaith Observer.
With over six years at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a Health Communication Specialist, Suraj has honed his expertise in utilizing print and digital communications for social good. His time at the CDC includes two years as the Managing Editor for the CDC Yellow Book, a key travel medicine publication.
Suraj’s scholarly contributions to the field of health communication are notable, with publications in respected journals such as the Journal of Medical Internet Research and Perspectives in Public Health. He is also an active participant in the academic community, having presented at conferences like the National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing, and Media.
Suraj holds a Master of Public Health from Yale University, where he studied social and behavioral sciences. He also supported communication efforts for the World Health Organization and the United Nations Population Fund. His unique blend of expertise in storytelling and health communication positions him as a compelling advocate for public health and cultural awareness.
